Today we’re going to design my dream wedding venue, and when I say my I mean yours. So, what makes the design of any wedding venue great? For example, every wedding venue comes practically empty and it’s our job to spice things up. Since we all have different tastes, it could be the lighting, the flowers, the view, the location, all these things. With those four things in mind, let’s gather some inspiration and design my wedding venue.
Design My Wedding Venue
The Lighting
Depending on your venue, you’ll want to have your wedding very well lit for photos, since you’ll be eating, cutting cake etc. The lighting is a key aspect in the planning of course, so what kind of lighting do you love? Perhaps a venue with large windows that allow lots of natural light in, or maybe you like a controlled environment with the lights set up from above. Will the venue be indoor, outdoor, or both? Indoor lighting can be easy and controlled, by hiring a lighting crew that can take care of any venue. Outdoor lighting is more free. During the day we can’t control the sun so it’s a free for all. However, at night is when lighting gets fun for outdoor wedding venues. For example, you can hang some very nice dim lights around for a romantic atmosphere, or imagine small light strips that appear like stars from above a patio.
The Flowers
Wedding florals make or break a venue. The flowers will set the vibe, ambiance, and color of the wedding. For instance, when you walk into a venue filled with white and green florals you immediately feel happy, everything looks clean and classy. On the other hand, if you walk into a venue with red and black decor the whole vibe feels dramatic, bold, and modern. So, having your color scheme picked out at creating the right ambiance is important when I design my wedding venue.
The View / The Location
The view and location go hand in hand. Since the location will determine the view, you’ll want to make sure you pick out a good one! Depending on where you’re located and your taste in architecture, you’ll want to choose a venue based off those two factors.
So, if you’re in love with the thought of a modern venue with views of the city you’ll want to book an indoor venue with a patio. On the other hand, if you’re obsessed with large green gardens, warm lights, and renaissance architecture, you may be wanting to book a private location or garden venue. Either way, both venue choices are stunning.
