We met at work in August 2012. We both worked at Sir Charles Gairdener hospital in Perth, WA. He proposed at one of the lookouts along the Great Ocean Road on the way to our favorite town, Apollo Bay VIC. The most important piece of advice I can give any relationship would be; to be honest and always have good communication, because that is key. Never go to sleep upset with one another. When it came to my dress, I didn’t try any wedding dresses on. I stumbled across a fabric store in Malvern on Glenferrie road called d’ltalia. I fell in love with a particular lace. After purchasing my lace and silk from Farah & Craig Real Wedding there, they directed me to Vasiliki couture who makes wedding gowns. Vikki is incredibly talented, patient and kind. She drew the dress I had pictured in my head and made it all happen. I envisioned a Rustic wedding with lots of florals and candles. The day was so special, it was hard to capture one single moment as the most important. The whole day was like a dream.
If you could do it all over again, what would you change?
Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, there is nothing we would change about it.
Any tips that you can give to future brides?
As cliché as it sounds, live in the moment, don’t stress and enjoy your day. Craig and I were overwhelmed that all of our loved ones; family and friends were all in the one room celebrating our love. A moment you may never get to experience ever again.
