Keep reading to find out some of the most useful tips that make a cold fall or winter day feel like the warmest of the year.

MAKE SURE YOUR GUESTS ARE READY.

You should make sure to set your guests’ expectations early on. Be sure to provide enough information about the conditions of your winter wedding before the wedding day. If any part of your wedding reception takes place outside, make sure to inform your guests on your wedding website. Once guests arrive, they should not feel inconvenienced by the weather. You should also provide a coat rack, some portable heaters, and plenty of blankets for your guests to get cozy and warm.

CHOOSE A DAYTIME WEDDING ON A SUNNY DAY.

Keep in mind that it gets dark earlier during the winter, and it will be more convenient to pick a sunny day for your reception. You will have plenty of sunlight and the temperature outdoors is going to be warmer.

ADD A FIRE PIT INTO YOUR SEATING AREA.

Does your venue have a fireplace? If yes, make sure to get some good use of it. The fireplace is the perfect spot to position your lounge seating area. If your reception is outdoors, make sure to ask your vendors if you would be allowed to bring the fire pit inside. A fire is going to create a cozy ambiance, but it will keep all of your quests warm. In addition, it allows for an s’mores bar – a hit for guests who would rather sit and mingle than dance! Moreover, it will make for some wonderful pictures posted under your Instagram hashtag.
