With Valentines Day only a month away, get ready for a lot of love! Valentines Day is thee day to express love to the people that matter the most. Often times people associate this day to couples only. However, if you don’t have a significant other you can spend this day expressing love to your friends and family!
So what is Valentines Day, and why is it such a big deal?
Valentines Day
Also known as Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated every year on February 14. This originated as a Western Christian feast day honoring the saint named Valentinus. Valentine’s Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love throughout the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country.
With that being said, here is how you could spend your Valentines Day with or without a significant other….
Friends & V-Day
Spending this day with friends can be fun. Take this time to put your phones away and head to the beach, city, or rockies. If you’re more of an indoor person, grab some rosé and bake cookies, watch movies, or even play games like monopoly, sorry, or twister. Besides, who needs a girlfriend/boyfriend when you have awesome friends!
Lovers & V-Day
For lovers this day is totally different. The mornings start with love letters stuck to the bathroom mirror, and roses in the kitchen. Once you get to work there’s flowers delivered to your desk, maybe even some chocolates. Oh! And don’t forget that teddy bear!
Gifts are great however, the reason we love Valentines Day so much is because it’s a chance to show appreciation to that special someone or someones. Never forget that simple things like making breakfast together, enjoying a walk, or even making a phone call can also make the people you love feel special!
