Tips For Avoiding Wedding Day Makeup Mistakes

Wedding Day Makeup Mistakes

If there is one day of your life where you don’t want any makeup mishaps to happen, it’s your wedding day. We’re helping you stop the problems before they even start by giving you the tips to avoid wedding makeup mistakes.

Use Waterproof Mascara

This one is pretty easy and extremely obvious. You are going to feel a lot of emotions on your wedding day, but you should not let them ruin your beautiful makeup! Go with waterproof mascara! A lot of women have their favorite mascara, and if this is you, don’t worry. Most of the time, your favorite brand will carry a waterproof version of it.

Add The Setting Powder

Applying a high-quality translucent powder over your foundation is going to set your makeup and make sure that it stays in place for the whole day of chaos. If you don’t set your foundation, your makeup will look good the first couple of hours, but then will fade away or smudge all over. And we know that that is not what a bride wants on the most important day of her life with a photographer on standby.

Get Your Lips “Kiss” Ready

The kiss in front of the altar is going to be the biggest kiss of your life, and you need to prepare your lips for it. A few days before the wedding, you can use sugar scrubs and vaseline to exfoliate and moisturize your lips. Also, on your wedding day, stay away from those “long-lasting” matte lipsticks, since they tend to cause a lot of drying and cracking.

Don’t Put Foundation On Your Bare Skin

Applying heavy foundation directly on your skin is not a good idea. You need to apply a moisturizer before you apply foundation, and then apply primer over that. The moisturizer is going to protect your pores from getting clogged, and primer is going to smooth out the skin.
